Daphne Phelps

Daphne Phelps

Junior Suite

It was the master bedroom, first inhabited by the famous English painter Robert Kitson and later by his niece, the writer Daphne Phelps. The room has two magnificent Baroque-style balconies overlooking the historic garden, Etna volcano and the Gulf of Naxos, with a breathtaking view of the Sea. It has natural light that makes it suitable for painting, writing and reading. It is equipped with rare and elegant 18th century Sicilian furniture. The watercolours by Robert Hawthorn Kitson, depicting the historic garden of the villa, make the atmosphere of the room exclusive and cosy. The paintings and antique furniture were declared Italian National Cultural Heritage and are under the protection of the Fine Arts.

The suite consists of an entrance hall, a dressing room, a bedroom and a bathroom with shower. The room has all the most modern comforts (high-speed Wifi with optical fiber, central heating, mini-bar, telephone, satellite TV system, Bang & Olufsen audio-visual system, safe).
